Accent on shoulders in different ways
We are in the middle of winter, but I am looking forward spring and summer… do you want to know which trend we will see this year? Check this out! Part 1: shoulders
The accent on your shoulders is a trend we see in different shapes. Great for ‘compensate’ my hips! Haha.. I must say, I love the accent on the shoulders. And I am a 80s lovers, so the oversized shoulders are already in my closet! My tip: check vintage blazers at the mens section!
And there are 3 type of shoulders, so there’s for everyone a style!
1. Oversized shoulders
Square shoulders were particularly present this season, an exercise in style seen on strict, exaggerated suit jackets in a quest to create new forms of elegance and movement
Jil Sander, Balenciaga, Céline
2. Round shoulders
It’s all in the sense of proportion next season, especially when it comes to shoulders. At Marni, Isabel Marant and Jil Sander, they were round, with gentle curves heralding a contemporary new femininity.

3. Puffball shoulders
Fashion’s Eighties obsession continues, with variations on the popular should theme as oversized cap sleeves gave way to giant puffball shapes and fabric effects.
