Great diversity of Hollywood women.
For Vanity Fair’s 2016 Hollywood Portfolio, photographer Annie Leibovitz captured 13 of the cinema’s finest actresses for the portraits. From Jennifer Lawrence to Lupita Nyong’o: Hollywood’s fiercest women. Great to see these absolutely beautiful pictures with a great age and color diversity… but… yes I am missing size diversity.
I am talking already a long time about diversity in fashion, but in Hollywood it’s the worst. There are only a few actresses, you can count these with one hand!
I think Hollywoods influence is probably even bigger than the fashion industry. There are no actresses who got the chance to show their talents like these big stars above. The ‘larger size’ actresses which Hollywood has now, don’t have this quality of acting yet, that’s my opion. Or maybe they do have, but they only get these stereotype roles. Why?
Diane Keaton decided to do her own styling! LOVE THAT!!!
According to fashion and style director Jessica Diehl, Keaton’s choice to wear her own ensemble was two parts her singular brand of Keaton spunkiness, and one part her collaborative spirit. Diehl spent 45 minutes on the phone with Keaton before the shoot, during which the two struck on the idea of a tuxedo—a familiar arrow in Keaton’s fashion quiver. But then Keaton suggested something else: “Or I could wear something like my favorite person, Paul Harnden, but that’s probably not dressed up enough,” Diehl recalls her saying. “And I was like, Yeah, maybe not, but wear it and when you get here, we can always see.”
