High fashion is for all sizes by Evans.
Two weeks ago there was this design collective for Evans. This show was during my holiday. So I could’t write about it. But watching back this collection, I thought… I definitely I have to write about it. It looked very professional and trendy!
Never been a plus-size collection featured at London Fashion Week. Ever. Sir Philip Green (the man behind the Topshop empire) paired UK retailer Evans with designers Giles Deacon, Clements Ribeiro, Hema Kaul, Lulu Liu, Jamie Wei Huang, and Vita Gottlieb to create The Design Collective for Evans, which mixed in-house looks with each designer’s own pieces.
Design Collective for Evans brings together a handpicked selection of renowned fashion designers, brand new breakthrough designers, the latest winners of the acclaimed Cut for Evans design competition and our exclusive in house designs. The exclusive catwalk event shows that high fashion is for all.
Sir Philip Green: “This is a big and important part of the market, and we need to be seen to embrace it. You cannot ignore the market place. And you can’t be defensive about it, or apologize about [plus-size fashion]. Why should the category be any different from petite?”
And this exactly what I am saying all the time..we are no aliens. Women with a size 42 EU, 12 US and up… want to have the opportunity to look the same as a size 36 EU, 6 US. So this was a great show with only top models and very professional! I wish I was there to see this show myself. Evans, you did a great thing! Well done.. time for change!
wow, thank you this made my year
Hmmm …. I liked the pieces that moved fluidly the best. The cobalt and black chiffons, and the long chiffon dusters did. The stiffer glitter fabrics weren't as graceful.
o wauw die laatste broek met blouse!
